3. Fertiliser distribution rate adjustment
The adjustment of the opening by means of the lever in order to achieve an adequate
fertiliser distribution rate is made based on the distribution data table, taking into
account the fertiliser product line, working width, estimated working speed and the
required fertiliser distribution rate.
Bulk density [kg/l] is given for each fertiliser.
Example:
Fertiliser
Working width
Working speed
Dose
Calcium ammonium nitrate 27.5% ZA Kędzierzyn
12 [m]
8 [km/h]
400 [kg/ha]
Check the lever setting for the dose 403 [kg/ha]: “37” – p. 47.
Determination of the lever setting for working speeds not included in the distribution data
table.
Example:
Fertiliser
Working width
Estimated working speed
Dose
Calcium ammonium nitrate 27.5% ZA Kędzierzyn
12 [m]
6 [km/h]
400 [kg/ha]
= 240
For working width 12 [m], at the speed of 10 [km/h], check in table 246 the setting of
lever 34 for the above-mentioned calculated value 240.
Determination of the lever setting for working widths not included in the distribution data
table.
Example:
Fertiliser
Working width
Working speed
Dose
Calcium ammonium nitrate 27.5% ZA Kędzierzyn
8 [m]
8 [km/h]
400 [kg/ha]
= 320
For working width 10 [m], at the speed of 8 [km/h], check in table 334 the setting of
lever 33 for the above-mentioned calculated value 320.
Speed 6 [km/h] x dose 400 [kg/ha]
10
Working width 8 [m] x dose 400 [kg/ha]
10
