ICE RETENTION
PRE-CHILL COOLER :
Pre-chill the cooler prior to use.
• It is recommended to add ice to your cooler prior to use to
pre-chill the interior.
• Remove all ice water prior to filling the cooler.
PRE-CHILL ITEMS BEING ADDED TO COOLER
:
Pre-chill all contents prior to placing into cooler.
• Ensuring contents are chilled prior to use will extend the
thermal retention.
FILL COOLER PROPERLY:
Pack cooler to capacity with all contents and fill all gaps with ice.
Always load all contents first then fill with ice.
MINIMIZE OPENING THE COOLER
:
The cooler lid should be closed promptly after opening and remain closed
when items are not being added or removed from cooler. For items that
are going to be used frequently, consider using a secondary cooler,
because a cooler opened less frequently will keep ice longer.
• Keep the cooler out of direct sunlight whenever possible.
• Replace or keep melted ice in the cooler until use of the cooler
is completed. Draining melted ice will decrease performance.
NOTE: DO NOT store exposed food or liquids in the melted
ice water.
ROCK SALT TIP
:
Rock salt naturally lowers the melting point of ice, making it
super cold. Add a few handfuls to the top of ice filled cooler and
temperatures will lower.
