It is advisable
to deactivate the musical mechanism (register OFF at 8 o'clock).
If activated, let each
melody playing cycle take place (each hour) whilst setting the time.
Then push button on crown back to position "W" on register at 4 o'clock.
Musical mechanism.
The watch plays the melody automatically on the hours. You can also call for the melody
by pressing pusher 2. When the mechanism is fully wound it allows 5 melodies to be
played before requiring new winding.
Comment :
it is advisable to deactivate the musical mechanism during the night to
avoid disturbing your sleep.
Precision.
Precision and average daily rate depend on the activity of the person wearing the
instrument. Magnetic fields (computers, mobile phones, etc.) may influence the work-
ing of a watch. Violent shocks or knocks - quite common in tennis or golf - should be
avoided to prevent shaking that may loosen certain parts.
Because a mechanical watch is a fine piece of miniature engineering consisting of
well over 600 individual parts, its precision will never match that of a quartz timepiece.
Water-resistance.
This musical timepiece is an example of time-keeping art; it is not a sports watch.
Its construction was conceived to resist normal, everyday environmental stress. Normal
movements, accidental splashes of water, and temperature changes will not affect the
smooth running.
However violent shocks or dropping the watch on a hard surface may damage the
watch. Additionally, swimming or showering must be avoided as well. Do not use
