-Plastic tub,
Should not show any cracks, material fractures, or light-coloured rated break
points.
If damage is observed, the complete basket stretcher will have to be put out
of use.
-Surrounding cord,
Must fit tightly, must not show any cracks or damage.
The surrounding cord can be re-ordered from ultraMEDIC (or your dealer) and
replaced.
-Patient fixation straps,
Must fit tightly, must not show any cracks or damage, and check that the push
button locks work smoothly.
Patient fixation straps can be re-ordered from ultraMEDIC (or your dealer) and
replaced.
-Foot rest,
Check belt straps for cracks or other damage, check hooks for deformations or
cracks.
The aluminium profile of the foot rest sheets should fit tightly. Search for light-
coloured rated break points and/or cracks.
Foot rests can be re-ordered from ultraMEDIC (or your dealer) and replaced.

The basket stretcher should be controlled regularly, even if there is no
visible damage.

The following applies to the rope-down suspension:
Under normal conditions of use, a lifetime of 4-6 years may be assumed for joining
means acc. to EN354 (see BGR/GUV-R 198).
The following applies to the ultraMEDIC / Skylotec rope-down suspension SAN-0086:
With proper storage and a storage period not exceeding 2 years, a maximum overall lifetime
of 10 years beginning with the first usage will be possible, if the product belongs to a user who
does not use it excessively, always uses it with care, and who knows the product’s entire
history of use. In the process, an examination by a qualified person should be carried out at
least once a year, documenting the inspector’s name and the detected characteristic
features of the product.
Moreover, it must be made absolutely sure that the product has always been stored under
optimum conditions, has never come in touch with chemicals, gases or other harmful
substances, and that the total UV radiation over time has not exceeded the radiation
occurring with intensive usage within a period of 4 years.
In any case, the manufacturer’s operating instructions have to be observed.
