5.1.2.4 Attaching the Footrest
1. Flip up the footrest and set it to a suitable height, so that the injured person cannot slide.
Use the Velcro straps to fix the feet in place (see Fig.).
The injured person must be strapped in place on the basket stretcher with at least 3 belts.
If the person is injured at the lower limbs, then these will have to be
restrained/immobilized by using appropriate equipment.
Do not, under any circumstances, position the basket stretcher vertically in this case.
5.1.2.5 Transporting the Basket Stretcher over Uneven Surfaces or Gradients
1. Flip up the footrest and set it to a suitable height, so that the injured person cannot slide.
2. If the person is injured at the lower limbs, then these will have to be restrained/immobilized
by using appropriate equipment. The injured person must be strapped in place on the
basket stretcher with at least 3 belts.
3. Fasten the basket stretcher to a static safety system prior to raising or lowering it.
Attention: To this end please follow the instructions on how to fasten the transport rigging.
Also read and follow the instructions for using the ultraBRIDLES transport rigging. Only use the
basket stretcher with the ultraMEDIC ultraBRIDLES SAN-0086.
Check the condition of the injured person with each action you take.
5.1.2.6 Vertical Transport
1 Set the footrest to a suitable height, so that the injured person cannot slide.
2. If the person is injured at the lower limbs, then these will have to be
restrained/immobilized by using appropriate equipment. The injured person must be
strapped in place on the basket stretcher with at least 3 belts.
3. Fasten the basket stretcher to a static safety system prior to raising or lowering it.
Attention: To this end please follow the instructions for use of the transport rigging.
Check the condition of the injured person with each action you take.
