BATTERY CHARGERS
BATTERY HOLDER WITH AC CHARGER
• Charger comes standard with every powered stair
climber.
• High performance is achieved by 2-step automatic
and digital control engineering. This allows for quick
charging in first step and compensation / trickle
charging in second step.
• To test battery, connect battery charger to
battery (without plugging into wall outlet). After
approximately nine seconds, test result will display
by progress bars:
To charge battery with this charger:
1. Connect charging unit to battery.
2. Turn battery on by main switch on battery.
3. Plug charging unit into AC type wall outlet.
4. Charging operation begins.
COMPENSATION / TRICKLE CHARGING
Once battery is fully charged, charging unit switches
over to compensation/ trickle charge. On display,
battery symbol is shown with four bars and remains solid.
If charging does not begin, there are two possible
reasons:
1. Display:
and symbols blink alternately
indicating polarity reversal. Correct polarity by
ensuring battery wire is plugged into a positive and
a negative socket on each battery cell. This wire
should not be plugged into two negative sockets.
Also, ensure other wire is plugged into a negative
and positive socket.
2. Display:
and symbols blink alternately
indicating a break in connection to battery. Check
charging clips, cables, contacts, battery pole
terminals etc.

OPERATION
BEFORE OPERATION
• Install fully charged battery.
• Become familiar with powered stair climber controls
and buttons.
NOTE: Practice using powered stair climber on
a stairway with no load at first and then with
approximately 60 lbs.
ASCENDING STAIRS
1. With main switch pressed, press ascend/descend
button briefly until indicator light shines green
continuously. Unit is now in ascend mode.
2. Select high or low speed.
3. Pressing round-up switch in upper handle operates
support wheels and will lift unit over step and
continue until button is released.
NOTE: Release button when unit is secured on
next step.
4. As main wheels rest on stair, immediately pull unit
back to touch rise of next step up.
CAUTION! Holding unit too flat on stairs may
result in partially trapping support wheels
under stair. This may cause excessive pressure
on drive unit and cause unit to go into
overload mode and shut down. To resume use,
press ascend/descend button to reset.
