Reference designs
Reference designs are intended as a means to help system integrators to develop their own GPS-enabled
end products. On request, u-blox provides a complete reference design package including schematic,
Gerber files, PCB blueprint and recommendations. u-blox assumes no design services for this purpose, nor
warranties regarding functionality and performance. Contact u-blox support for further information.

Minimum bill of material smart antenna
The following reference design is for a smart antenna with a minimum BOM.
This design does not include ESD protection.
PIO7 and PIO8 are not used in this design and are therefore connected to GND. For forward compatibility
to u-blox 6 we now recommend pulling these pins to VDD_IO via 100k pull-up resistors.
