Sizes overlap. To find the user’s correct size, measure the hips at
the widest point. If the hip measurement lies between two sizes,
choose the smaller size if the patient has slim thighs, and the
larger size if thighs are wide or an incontinence pad will be worn.

The protective shields in SAFEHIP
®
Classic are based on our specially patented horseshoe-
shaped foam shield. The shields are light-weight, shaped to fit the body’s contour and
feel very comfortable to wear. The pants hold a high content of elastane which ensures a
perfect fit and also makes them suitable for fixation of an incontinence pad.
The patented shield technology of SAFEHIP
®
uses an energy shunting technique to reduce
the fall impact by dispersing the energy of the fall away from the hip area and into the soft
tissue. SAFEHIP
®
has been clinically tested on more than 7,000 users around the world and
has proven to reduce hip fractures from falls.
