Replacing Motherboard Components 

 

Follow these instructions to replace motherboard components, 
including the motherboard. 

 

3.4.1  Disconnecting All Motherboard Cables 

 

Before replacing the motherboard or certain components, remove 
cables connected to the motherboard. Follow these instructions to 
remove all motherboard cabling. 
 

1.  Disconnect Power Cables. 

 

 

 

2.    Disconnect DVD-ROM drive cable, SAS/SATA hard drive cables 

and USB cable.
