Use this jumper when you have forgotten your system/setup 
password or need to clear the system BIOS settings. 
How to clear the CMOS data:

Power off system and 

disconnect the power supply 

from the AC source

Use jumper cap to close Pin 2 and 3 for several 
seconds to Clear CMOS 

-

 

Replace jumper cap to close Pin 1 and 2 Reconnect 
the power supply to the AC source
