CLEANING CONVEYORS
To clean both the Feed and QC Conveyors:
1. Remove sidewalls by lifting straight up (see diagram to the
right).
THIS TASK REQUIRES TWO PEOPLE TO AVOID DAMAGING
SIDEWALLS.
AVOID TWISTING OR BENDING SIDEWALLS WHILE CLEANING.
IF A CHUTE IS INSTALLED ON THE FEED SIDEWALLS, AVOID
BENDING THE CHUTE BY PLACING THE WALLS UPSIDE-DOWN
WHILE CLEANING.
2. Flip up the conveyor by lifting the front of the conveyor
(the tensioning roller side). This provides easy access to clean underneath
the belt
3. Clean the entire conveyor using the Twister Cleaning Method (for more
details see Cleaning the T-ZERO on page 36).
4. Wipe down belts or clean with low-pressure water.
5. Pressure wash or wipe down all metal components, wipe down belts or
clean with low-pressure water.
6. Flip down the conveyor ensuring the fin on the belt is centered on the
roller grooves. Check belt tension during this step (for instructions, see
Adjusting Belt Tension on the Conveyor).
7. Reinstall sidewalls and chutes
8. Align conveyors to the machine, ensuring the belt, sidewalls, and chutes
are clear of the conveyor belt and tumbler.
