Sensor broken: Motor defect or wrong position
ERROR SITUATION
REASON
SOLUTION
The controller is not working
The controller does not receive power
Check whether the transformer cables are attached to the plug of the Senso fireplace
controller and the mains current.
There is no draught in the fireplace
No draught in the flue
Check the flue draught and see the operating manual for a solution to the draught problems.
There are a lot of embers left on the grate
False fuel setting
Check whether the right fuel type has been used and try out different settings.
The add light does not light up at the right time; either too early or
too late. Too early means that there are high flames in the firebox and
too late means that the embers have burned down almost completely
False fuel setting
Check which fuel type has been selected in the app and try out different types. If the fault
status persists, contact your nearest Tulikivi maintenance service.
Nothing is shown on the LED display
The LED display has not been properly attached Check whether the transformer cables are attached to the plug of the Senso fireplace
controller and the mains current. If the fault status persists, contact your nearest Tulikivi
maintenance service, where they will inspect the LED display cables.
The air control lever is not moving automatically
Either the power is off, the motor is stuck or
has come off the axle or the Senso fireplace
controller is in manual mode
Check whether the transformer cables are attached to the plug of the Senso fireplace
controller and the mains current. If the fault status persists, contact your nearest Tulikivi
maintenance service, where they will inspect the condition of the motor and its attachment
to the air control lever.
The air control lever does not move automaticly or it is on wrong
position
controller’s switch dial has been turned too fast
between the manual and automatic position, and
therefore the motor has not been calibrated,
or controller’s mechanism is not in order, or air
control lever movement has been prevented
from moving while in automatic operation
Turn the controller’s switch dial to calibration position (CAL) and return the switch to
automatic position (AUTO). After this the lever moves automatically from closed position to
fully open, if this does not happen, please contact your nearest Tulikivi maintenance service.
The air control lever does not move while fireplace is used in
automatic operation and the lever moves when using it by hand
The mechanism of air control lever is loose
Contact your nearest Tulikivi maintenance service.
The application fails to connect with the fireplace
Bluetooth is not functioning
Check whether the Bluetooth connection of the smart device is on. In addition, check
whether the fireplace controller is connected to the power supply. If the fault status
persists, move closer to the fireplace.
The air control lever is in the ignition position and does not move
from this position
The controller is in an error state. It is either in a
state of overheating (heat capacity is more than
120%) or the room temperature has become
too high
Wait until the state of overheating ends or until the room temperature goes down.
The controller reports a sensor failure
Sensor fault

The controller reports other fault situations
Other problems
Contact your nearest Tulikivi maintenance service.
The controller reports a motor failure
The motor cables are disconnected or the motor
is broken
Contact your nearest Tulikivi maintenance service, where they will inspect whether the
motor cables are in place or whether the motor is broken. In case of breakage, contact
Tulikivi maintenance service.
Saving the settings defined in the application fails
Temporary connection failure
Try to configure the settings again after a moment.
No homescreen information is received by the application
Temporary connection failure
Try to set up the connection again or wait for a moment.
OPERATION DURING POWER FAILURES AND OTHER FAULTS
If, for some reason, the fireplace controller is not working or there
is a power failure, use the fireplace manually. Turn the switch to the
manual position according to
Figure 2
to allow you to move the air
control lever by hand. Use the fireplace in manual mode, following the
instructions of the operating manual that came with the fire place,
until the fault situation is over. When the fault situation is over, for
example when the power is back on, the controller will launch itself
when set in the automatic position (
Figure 2
).
Other fault situations include sensor faults and other system faults.
The controller will always notify you of a sensor fault, either on the
LED display or via the smart device application. In these situations,
always contact your local Tulikivi dealer or maintenance service.
MAINTENANCE
See the maintenance instructions in the operating manual shipped
together with the fireplace. The fireplace controller notifies you of
the need for maintenance service, such as replacement of broken
sensors and other error situations which may call for maintenance. We
recommend that you get a chimney sweep to check the temperature
(HT) sensor, which is at the top of the firebox, in connection with the
regular cleaning of the fireplace. At the same time, it is a good idea to
always check that the air control lever is freed for manual use when
the fireplace controller is set in the manual position.
