- Do up the buttons, release the baby’s head and bring it up to your trunk. Now lift the
baby with care and insert one arm through one of the straps, while holding the child with
your other hand.
- Now change hands and fit the second strap. Fasten the linking buckle at the back, so
that the straps cannot slide over the shoulders.
- Ensure that the baby’s legs come out of the sides of the baby carrier.
- Use the safety straps to adjust the belts to your body and the baby’s body.
Use of the head protector (hood):
Check the hood is in the correct position. The head protector (hood) should be used
from 0 months old to about the age of three and a half. This hood protects the baby’s
head until the time the child can hold their head up for themselves, meaning they do
not bump their heads and their head stays in position while being able to move around.
When using the hood, if the child is asleep
or cold, always check that the baby’s nose and mouth are not covered by the material
comprising the hood or any other garment that may prevent the child from breathing
normally. When not in use, put the hood in the front pouch and ensure it is zipped up.
Store away the hood
