System Map
Your computer has a lot of built-in features. Most of these are enabled by your
operating system. Further explanations of the various subsystems are covered
in the chapter or pages indicated.
Getting to Know Your Computer
The graphics on the following pages will help you to become familiar with the
basic functions, and to learn the location of the various ports and components
of your computer.
Model Differences
This notebook series includes two different model types according to the spec-
ifications. You can identify if your computer is
Model A
or
Model B
by
checking
Table 1 - 1, “Model Differences,” on page 1-5
. In addition to the
two model types, there are also two different designs (see
Figure 1 - 1
) as il-
lustrated on the following page (
Model A
and
Model B
include both design
types illustrated). The easiest way to tell which model type you have is to
check if your computer has a floppy disk drive or not (
Model A
includes a
floppy disk drive,
Model B
does not).
