Removing the Battery

If you are confident in undertaking upgrade procedures yourself, for safety
reasons it is best to remove the battery. Under normal circumstances we rec-
ommend that you do not remove the battery.

Battery Removal Process

1.

Turn the computer 

off

, and turn it over.

2.

Remove screws 

 & 

 from the battery cover, and remove the cover.

3.

Carefully (use a small screwdriver) disconnect the battery cable at point 

.

4.

Lift the battery out of the computer’s battery bay. 

5.

Connect the battery cable before reinserting the battery.
