Setting Timeouts
To set the timeout periods for communications with a device, a connection
must first be established with a device. Once the connection has been
established, select the
Device
menu, and then choose
Timeout
. A dialog
box will appear, and the desired timeout period can be entered into the text
box.

Setting the Buffer Size
The size of the internal buffer that is used when receiving data from the
attached device can be adjusted. From the
Polling
menu, select
Buffer
Size
. In the dialog box that appears, enter the desired buffer size in bytes.
