The distance to the
sound source is too
great.
Move closer.
The volume of the
computer’s speakers
is set very low.
Increase the speaker’s volume.
The sound is very
low.
The microphone is
blocked.
Make sure your fingers do not
cover the microphone (5, figure 1).
The card was not
empty. The CF card
already contains
recordings from other
cameras.
Format the CF card so that it is
completely empty (Camera menu
8, figure 2).
Less recordings
can be saved on
the CF card than
expected.
The recordings
contain a lot of detail
or noise.
If they contain noise, select a
location with more light. If they
contain a lot of detail, it is normal
that less photographs or video clips
can be taken.
The CF card has been
formatted in the wrong
format.
Format the CF card in the camera.
(Camera menu 8, figure 2). Do not
format it in a card reader.
The card has not been
pressed into the slot
firmly enough.
Press it firmly into the slot. The
card must not protrude from the
camera.
The camera works,
but is not visible.
Take some photographs. Remove
the card from the camera. If the
number of recordings on the
display is zero, then the CF works
correctly.
The CF card
cannot be used.
The card is faulty.
Try to use the card in a different
camera or use a different card.
The cables have not
been connected
correctly.
Connect the cables correctly:
yellow is for the image signal and
white is for the sound signal.
The camera is turned
off.
Turn the camera on
The TV
connection does
not work.
The camera has been
connected to the
computer.
Disconnect the camera from the
computer.
The photographs
do not fit
correctly into the
photograph
frame. White bars
are always
visible.
Most photograph
frames are made for a
3:2 format used with
traditional
photographs. Digital
cameras use a 4:3
format.
Select a different photograph
frame or use the ‘Crop’ function in
Photo Express supplied with the
camera to alter the size to fit the
frame.
