• Observe the applicable regulations
when sanding painted surfaces. Use special care when the
paint is lead-based.
• Remove dust and any other type of debris to assure a
safe working environment. When possible use a vacuum
cleaner or a dust extractor.
• To be protected against dust and smoke
generated when sanding everybody in the work area
should wear a professional breathing mask.
• Do not use this tool for sanding pieces containing
magnesium.
• After long work cycles the metallic outer parts and
accessories may get hot.
• Wear professional
breathing mask and cartridges suited for paint dust and
vapors. Regular painter masks do not offer the right
protection.
• Do not allow children and pregnant
women enter the work area.
• Remove the dust collecting
container before sanding metal. Sparks may ignite dust
and the inner pouch.
• Do not use worn or ripped sanding sheets.
• Do not touch the sandpaper when moving.
• Before sanding, double-check all foreign objects such
as nails or screws are removed from the work piece.
• Hold the tool by the insulated grip,
as the sander could make contact with its own power
cord.
Contact with a power cord makes the metal parts of the
tool also have current and may result in a shock to the
operator.
