Fire dampers
General information
FKR-EU
1
Functional description
The fire damper is used as a shut-off device to
prevent fire and smoke from spreading through
ducting in areas with potentially explosive
atmospheres. The fire damper is suitable for
supply air and extract air systems in potentially
explosive atmospheres. For details on the
operation of the fire damper refer to the operating
and installation manual and to the technical data
in the supplementary operating manual
(A00000038482).
Use in areas with potentially
explosive atmospheres (ATEX)
According to declaration of conformity
TÜV 13 ATEX 128437 X, the fire damper
may be used in the following areas with
potentially explosive atmospheres.
The ambient temperatures and types
of release and actuation specified
in the technical data are binding.
RedMax:
– Zone 2: Gases, mists and vapours
– Zone 22: Dusts
ExMax:
– Zones 1, 2: Gases, mists and vapours
– Zones 21, 22: Dusts
