Operation Using the Hand Controller
Operation control & adjustment of all sonar controls and settings within the Genesis display can be
made through the drop-down menu using the hand controller.
The
MODE
button is the top button on
the hand controller marked by a white

The

respectivly. These are used to adjust the
settings for each menu option.
The menu options can be accessed sequentially in a loop by pressing the
MODE
button starting
from ‘RANGE’ and finishing at ‘ADVANCED’ prior to looping back to ‘RANGE’. The current menu
option is displayed at the top centre of the screen and the following flow charts detail the different
menu options.
If no control input is made from the hand controller for 10 seconds (i.e. there is an inactivity period
of 10s) the current menu position will reset and disappear from the top centre of the display. To
reactivate the menu display the user will be required to press the MODE button again.
The buttons on the hand controller provide ‘haptic feedback’ to the user. A slight
vibration should be felt upon the successful depression of a button
