Since the hard disk drive is not a normal removable device, you must
remember to dismount the drive before you disconnect the USB 2.0
Storage from a host computer. To do this, use the dismount utility pro-
cedure explained earlier in the manual or use the expedited process
noted below.
To disconnect the USB 2.0 Storage from the host computer, use the
Safely Remove Hardware USB device dismounting utility that appears
in the Windows desktop taskbar system tray.
To dismount the Tripper, do as follows:
1. Left click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray.
2. Click on the message that appears.
3. A message indicating it is okay to disconnect the device will appear.
4. Disconnect the USB cable from the host computer to disconnect the
USB 2.0 Storage device. You can then disconnect the USB cable
from the USB 2.0 Storage.
