Charging the Internal Battery
You must charge the rechargeable internal battery in the USB 2.0 Stor-
age before you use it for the first time.
To charge the battery pack for the first time do as follows:
1. Connect the AC adapter to a power outlet.
Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet, preferably using a surge
protector outlet strip.
2. Connect the AC adapter to the USB 2.0 Storage.
Plug the jack on the end of the power cord into the AC connector on
the USB 2.0 Storage. The battery will automatically start charging
and the charge LED will light red.
3. Charge the battery for
2 hours
to ensure a full charge.
The charge LED indicator light will light red while charging and will
turn off when the battery is fully charged.
When the battery is fully charged you can disconnect AC power. The
USB 2.0 Storage is now ready to use. You can also use the USB 2.0
Storage while connected to AC power.
You should now configure the USB 2.0 Storage’s optional internal set-
tings if you don’t want to use the defaults.
