3.3 Internal Battery Connection
DANGER! LETHAL HIGH VOLTAGE HAZARD!
Potentially lethal high voltage exists within the batteries, even when not connected to a UPS system. Battery
connection should be performed by qualified service personnel only, following all the precautions listed in this
manual and adhering to local electrical codes.
Internal battery connection is required for all models prior to installation. The red wire for each battery string must be connected prior to
installation, as shown below.

1) Remove all screws labeled #1; loosen all screws labeled #2 (Figure 3-1).
2) Remove top plate and side plate (Figure 3-2).
3) The BAT(+) red wires are disconnected and the terminals are covered with
insulation tape. Remove the tape and reconnect the BAT(+) wires.

4) Replace top and side panels.
5) Replace and tighten all screws from Step 1 with a torque of 1Nm.
