Firmware Upgrade
SIU Firmware Upgrade Recovery
1. Unplug the SIU from the computer it is connected to.
2. Slide the firmware upgrade recovery switch to the
Recover
position.
3. Plug the SIU back into the computer.
4. Connect the included firmware upgrade cable from the RJ11 firmware upgrade port on the front of the switch to a DB9
Serial port on the computer you saved the firmware to.
5. Invoke
Firmware Upgrade Mode
via the Firmware Upgrade setting or Adapter Upgrade setting in the
F4:ADM
menu (See
page 17 for details).
Note: The Firmware Upgrade setting allows you to upgrade both the KVM firmware and SIU firmware.
The Adapter Upgrade setting only allows you to upgrade the SIU firmware.
6. Proceed with the firmware upgrade starting with step 4 in the Firmware Upgrade Utility section. (See page 19 for details.)
7. When the upgrade is complete and the KVM resets itself, unplug the SIU from the computer it is connected to.
8. Slide the firmware upgrade recovery switch to the Normal position, and plug the SIU back into the computer.
