12. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: Loss of Hydraulic Power
The hydraulic supply pressure is too low.
The hydraulic filter is plugged.
The hydraulic line size is insufficient.
The hydraulic line is too long.
Problem: Hydraulic Motor does not Start
The hydraulic power supply is shut off.
The hydraulic motor is damaged and will not run free.
E-stop is pressed in.
Direction switch not in stop position.
Speed knob not in zero position.
Pendant Check Procedures
All tests to be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect the power before
inspecting the RVC2.
Test are to be done with a disconnected pendant from the control panel, and
through the pins on the pendant.
1.
Disconnect pendant
2.
Set multimeter to measure resistance
3.
Connect one multimeter lead to pin F of the connector
4.
Connect other multimeter lead to pin A. Confirm 10k Ohm is measured.
5.
Move lead to pin B. Confirm 0 Ohm is measured with Flow Control knob to
one extreme and 10k Ohm at the other extreme.
6.
Move lead to pin C. Confirm continuity with Estop pulled, open when pressed.
7.
Move lead to pin D. Confirm continuity with Start button pressed, open when
released.
8.
Move lead to pin E. Confirm continuity with Stop button released, open when
pressed.
9.
Move lead to pin G. Confirm continuity with Fwd/Rev selector in the Fwd
position, open otherwise.
10.
Move lead to pin H. Confirm continuity with Fwd/Rev selector in the Rev
position, open otherwise.
