IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, including the following:
-
Before connecting the kettle, check if the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside of
kettle or base unit) corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. If this is not the case,
contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.
-
Use the kettle only with the supplied base unit. Do not use the base unit for other purposes.
-
If the main cord of this kettle is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized person before
further use.
- The auto cut off protects the kettle from being damaged when operated with insufficient
water. Power cuts off when the heating gets too hot.
- Place the appliance on a stable flat surface. Ensure that the base unit and the kettle do not fall
into water and that no water can be splashed onto the base unit.
-
Never immerse the kettle or the base unit in water. Do not allow water to penetrate the
electrical parts inside the kettle or the base unit.
-
Do not place the kettle on a hot surface.
-
Do not immerse beyond the MAX level mark when filling the water as water may spill out or
kettle may not automatically switch off.
-
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced before further use.
-
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
-
In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance
must not be operated through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a
circuit that is regularly switched on and off.
-
Throw away the very first water boiled with this kettle. The appliance is then ready for use.
