This Switch is a “Smart” switch. The programmable
administration parameters allow the Switch to operate more
effectively than unmanaged (dumb) switches. This chapter will
describe how to configure the Switch.
Configuration via Serial Port
The Switch is accessible using a terminal or terminal emulator
attached to the RS-232 serial port on the Switch.
The console port is set at the factory for following configuration:
