Instructions for Use and Maintenance 120H-HY – 190H-HY (0901)
4.3 Before the snowy season
All the above points (chapter 4: Service and maintenance) are to be done. Equipment well
serviced lasts longer.
4.4 After the snowy season
After the season, the equipment must be thoroughly cleaned, and then greased and serviced.
When the machine is dry, we suggest that you cover the parts were the paint has worn away
with a thin coating of oil. Store the snow blower in a dry storage.
4.5 Adjusting of transmissionchain, gear box-hydraulic motor
A hydraulic motor drives the gearbox of the machine over a duplex chain. This transmission
chain has to be tensioned and lubricated with even intervals.
The chain tension is adjusted as follows:
1. Demount chain cover
2. Loosen the four screws that’s holds the console of the hydraulic motor.
3. Tension the chain with adjusting screw (see picture). Suitable tension is when chain
can be moved 5-10mm.
4. Tighten the four fixing screws.
5. Lubricate the chain with oil 10W40, or by paint it with grease.
6. Mount chain cover.

4.6 Gearbox oil check and change
Check oil level with cold gear box and level machine. Oil level should reach the lower oil level
plug at the side of the gear box (alternative 50mm from bottom of gear box, when hydraulic
motor can make it hard to reach lever plug). If necessary, add recomended oil throw the
breather at the top of the gear box.
Oil change
The oil in the gearbox must be changed after the first 50 hours of service and the again every
500 hours or at least once a year.
Start the PTO and run the equipment until the gearbox oil is warm. Unscrew the filler plug on top
of the gearbox. Open the drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container. Clean the plug
and reinstall it. Refill with correct grade oil until the oil reaches lower oil level plug.
After filling, allow the oil to penetrate the gears and bearings before checking the correct
level.
When the oil level is correct, reinstall the filler plug and wipe away any spills.
