11. Limiter Switch (SB115 ONLY)
To prevent hard clipping of the power amp, a selectable peak limiter is provided.
12. Tweeter Defeat/Active Switch (SB110, SB112 and SB115 combos only)
In the defeat position, the Tweeter Defeat switch disconnects the internal tweeter
which provides a softer and more classic bass amplifier tone, for more brightness set
the switch to the Active position.
13. Line Out EQ Switch (SB200H only)
The Line Out EQ switch on the SB200H routes the preamp signal, destined for the
balanced Line Out XLR, either through the amp’s tone control and Scoop circuits, or
around them. Depress the button (Post-EQ setting) to have the SB200H’s tone controls
affect the tone going to the PA or recording mixer; leave the switch in the out position (Pre-
EQ setting) to send the instrument’s original uncolored signal to the board.
Note: The SB110 and SB112 Line Out is post-EQ and the SB115 Line Out is Pre-EQ.
14. Mute Button (SB200H only)
As an aid to tuning your bass silently or preventing unwanted sound during breaks, the Mute
function disengages the preamp signal from all outputs (Line Out and Phones) except the
Tuner jack. When this function is enabled the power light changes color to Red.
15. Tuner Jack (SB200H only)
The Tuner Out jack found on the SB200H not only helps make tuning convenient but is also
great for quick reference and adjustments. Connect your instrument tuner to this jack using a
standard ¼-inch shielded cable (e.g. guitar cable).
User Tip: Use the Mute button to ensure that the audience doesn’t hear you tuning!
16. Speaker Output (SB200H only)
The amp’s minimum load is 4 ohms overall therefore you can connect a total of one 4 ohm
speaker cabinet to the
¼-inch/Speakon™ Combi-jack output or two 8 ohm speaker cabinets
in parallel (by daisy chaining from one cabinet to the other).
Note: The 200 watt rated power output (@ 4 ohms) is measured with the amp’s Gain and tone
controls adjusted for minimal distortion. When shopping for a single 4 ohm cabinet, look for
one with a program power rating of approximately 250 watts, this will provide some added
capacity for handling “crunch” distortion.
