Establish Online Control of the Thermostat.
Schlage LiNK account must be active before continuing. See link.schlage.com for more information.
Remove the battery from the bridge.

Plug the Ethernet and power cord back into the bridge.

Log into your account at

Exclusion
Install a new, high-quality 9-volt battery into the bridge.
1.
Hold the bridge (1.8 meters) of the thermostat throughout the entire exclusion process.

Note: After you begin the exclusion process, you have 30 seconds to complete the remainder of the steps.

Study the steps below before beginning.
Press and release the minus (-) button on the bridge.

Observe the lights on the bridge. The orange light will blink while exclusion is taking place. Exclusion is complete when

Device class used by the Trane Z-Wave™ Thermostat.
