7. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
7.1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR GAS CONNECTIONS
Before connecting the gas, make sure that the control knobs are set to “OFF”. If
they’re not, turn the knobs clockwise until the “OFF” position is aligned with the
indicator arrows.
NOTE: Make sure that the connection existing on the grill is compatible with your
country’s current standards.
7.1.1. Connecting the gas cylinder to the grill
Always leave the cylinder standing upright.
For nozzle-type connections (Pic. 19), connect the hose to the grill gas input and
use a cable tie to tighten it until it’s firmly attached (Pic.20).
For adapters with a thread connection (Pic. 21), connect the hose to the grill gas
input and use a cable tie to tighten it until it’s firmly attached (Pic. 22).
NOTE: Hose, valve, and cable ties not included with the product.
Make sure that the cylinder valve is closed. After that, attach the hose to the valve
of the gas cylinder.
ATTENTION
• Whenever it’s necessary to change the cylinder or move the grill, close the cylinder
valve and disconnect it from the grill.
• Before starting (igniting) the grill, make sure there aren’t any utensils inside it that
might be damaged by the heat.
DANGER
• Before use, make sure the grill is assembled according to the instructions in this
manual.
• Make sure gas connections are properly assembled to prevent leaks.
• Do not disconnect any part of the gas feed system while the grill is operational.
• Never mend gas hoses.
ATTENTION
• If using with a gas cylinder, do not twist the flexible gas hose.
7.1.2. Leak test
Procedure:
In a well-ventilated place, use some mild detergent foam to verify whether bubbles
occur in the following positions:
1) The connections of the grill’s metallic hose (Pic. 23).
2) The connections between the hose and the cylinder (Pic. 24).
DANGER
• If any of the bubbles expand, there is a leak. This will hinder the performance of
the grill.
• In addition, it might also cause a fire or an explosion damaging property, causing
serious bodily injury, or even death.
• Never use a flame to check for gas leaks.
• If there is a gas leak, turn the control knob clockwise until the “OFF” position is
aligned with the indicator arrow.
• Then close the cylinder valve.
• Never use the grill if there is a gas leak or if it is damaged.
• If there is a leak, please contact the closest technical support or authorized
representative.
• Considering that some leak test solutions can be corrosive, including mild
detergent and water, all connections should be washed with water after the leak test.
