4 Instructions for mounting / schematic
4.1 Version with dowel pin and groove application
The rotating of the measuring system by the arising torque is prevented by a dowel pin
on the machine side. For the mounting of the dowel pin the measuring system on the
flange side possesses a groove application 4
± 0.02
, 6 mm deep.
This way of mounting shouldn't be used for precision applications. Radial deviations of
the shaft can cause an easy torsion of the measuring system and cause thus an
angular error.

The minimal dowel pin length of 9.5 mm is the result of the mounting shaft (6.5 mm),
the safety distance from mounting shaft to the machine (1 mm) and at least 2 mm, the
dowel pin must rise into the groove.
Position the measuring system so that a minimum distance of 1 mm is kept between
mounting shaft and machine. Depth of dowel pin (into groove) ≤ 5 mm.
Protect measuring system against slipping on the shaft by tighten the two grub screws
with the hexagon key.
