Extinguished and power
High limit switch activated
lamp flashes.
(Note 1)
Note 1: An abnormal overheat caused in the inside of the heater may induce operation.
The high limit switch is activated at 90°C (194°F), but no operation restart can
be made until the temperature reaches 70°C (158°F). An excessively long
heated air flowing hose (
Ф
65mm, 2-3/16 in.) causes reduction of air flow rate
and thereby activates the high limit switch. The manufacturer’s suggested hose
length should be approximately 5 meters (16-1/2 ft.), including the hoses used
on the suction inlet and blowing outlet sides. The high limit switch is also
activated due to an excessive fuel supply is caused.
Refer to item 5-4 (2).
6-7. Troubleshooting Guide VII
Metallic or whistle noise
Generally, in case of an excessive fuel feed or a lack of combustion air supply, the
burner inside has long yellow flames. This excessive fuel feed is considered to be
caused by the fuel flow adjustment failure. Refer to item 5-4 (2). As for a lack of
combustion air supply, check on any abnormal extension of the flue pipe or damaged
igniter guide gasket.
Extinguished and vent lamp flashes.
Disconnected room temp. sensor
(Note
1)
Note 1: The heater maintains the desired room temperature by the room temperature
sensor. If the room temperature sensor is disconnected, the operation will stop
and vent lamp will flash.
Oil leakage from heater unit
Check on the fuel line, especially, the connection between fuel pump and fuel pipe
and/or between fuel nozzle and fuel pipe.
