12.
When the Laser Cruise Divergence Data values are within the STANDARD
VALUES FOR DIVERGENCE, check for a laser beam signal between the Laser
Sensor and the reflector SST by moving the SST:
a. 100mm to the
left
of Point G
b. 100mm to the
right
of Point G
If the “UPPER/LOWER SIDE” and “LEFT/RIGHT SIDE” values change
when moving the reflector SST to the left and right, a laser beam signal
is being sent by the sensor emitter and then reflected back to the sensor
receiver by the SST.
13.
Now return the reflector SST to Point G and make sure that the values are still
within the Standard Values for Divergence.
Now that the sensor is within the Standard Values for Divergence, make
sure to perform Steps 14 and 15 to store the adjustment data in the Laser
Radar Cruise ECU and to complete the adjustment procedure.
STORING THE ADJUSTMENT DATA IN THE LASER RADAR CRUISE ECU
14.
Turn the headlight switch from OFF to the TAIL position and observe the
LASER CRUISE DIVERGENCE DATA screen on Techstream.
The adjustment is completed when:
• UPPER/LOWER SIDE and RIGHT/LEFT SIDE readings show
“0” and the system beeps for 10 seconds
• UPPER/LOWER SIDE and RIGHT/LEFT SIDE alternately
flash on the screen
15.
Select
NExT
on Techstream to store
the adjustment data in the Laser Radar
Cruise ECU and complete the procedure.
If NExT is not selected, the adjustment data will not be stored.

• Headlight switch is in the OFF position.
• Reflector SST is accurately placed on Point G.
1.
Connect Techstream to DLC3, then turn power ON.
2
. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3
. Start the Techstream program.
4.
Select Connect to Vehicle.

From the Laser Cruise Live tab, select Utility.
9.
Select Beam Axis Adjustment and click the Next arrow.
10
. From the Beam Axis Adjustment pop-up, click next.
11.
Check that the Laser Cruise Divergence Data on Techstream is within the
Standard Values of Divergence*.
If the Laser Cruise Divergence Data does not meet the Standard Values of
Divergence, adjust the laser sensor by using the
Mechanical Adjustment
Method
under the SENSOR ADJUSTMENT tab before continuing with Step 12.
