tools and equipment
• Techstream (Software version 6.01.021 or later)
• Laser Radar Sensor Adjusting Reflector SST (09870-60000)
• 25 ft Tape Measure (preferred)
• Plumb Bob Weight
• Masking Tape
• Roll of String
preparation procedure
• Careful preparation is key to accurate adjustment of the cruise control laser sensor.
• Carefully read and follow the steps outlined in this guide to obtain the most accurate measurements.
• The time you spend making precise measurements will ensure proper reflector SST placement and sensor adjustment.
Vehicle pre-checks
• Refer to the tire pressure information label located on the door jamb
for proper tire inflation pressure or refer to the Owner’s Manual.
• Make sure that the trunk and passenger compartment is unloaded.
• Clean the light emitting and light receiving portions of the laser sensor.
• Check that the laser sensor, bumper reinforcement, etc., are installed properly.
From your roll of string, cut

separate strings to the following lengths:
•
string #1
- 49 ft (15m) - to be used in Step 4
•
string #2
- 3.3 ft (1m) - to be used in Step 7
