Unfolding and folding the ladder
Lay the folded ladder on a fl at, level and clean surface large enough for the entire length to be extended.
Unfold the ladder by pulling the lower parts of the support legs and the hand/knee rail. Keep the unfolding movement until the
platform rests against the spacer. Make sure that the locking hook under the platform snaps into place against the spacer (II).
This will secure the ladder against accidental folding. Make sure that it is not possible to disconnect the platform and the spacer.
The ladder can be folded by releasing the locking hook. To do so, press the part of the hook which protrudes from the rear part of
the platform (III). This will make the ladder go up, and then pull the support leg and the hand/knee rail together to fold the ladder.
After the work is fi nished, lay the ladder on the ground, perform maintenance works and fold it.
REPAIRS, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Repairs and maintenance must be carried out by a competent person and following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Use the ladders in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
It is recommended to store the ladder in the folded position. The hinges cannot be locked in this position. A folded ladder may only
be stored or transported, and it is prohibited to use a folded ladder in any other way, for example as a stand or prop.
The ladder may be repaired by an authorised service centre of the manufacturer. Do not repair or modify (e.g. extend) a ladder yourself.
Store ladders in an enclosed room where they are protected from weather conditions. All ladder parts must be kept clean, in par-
ticular, the ladder stiles must be kept clean, as unfolding or folding the ladder may be impossible or diffi cult if the stiles are dirty.
Use water with a non-aggressive detergent for cleaning. Dry the ladder thoroughly before folding it.
Ensure that the ladder feet are clean to prevent the ladder from slipping during work.
Hinges and coupling points should be maintained with a thin machine oil or oil lubricant (e.g. WD-40).
Wipe off excess maintenance liquid.
Before transportation, fold the ladder and secure it against unintended unfolding, e.g. using a belt. Transport the ladder in the
folded position only.
