* Caution:

A minimum 2" thick non-combustible hearth extension extending 18" in front of this fi replace 
must be fi tted if a combustible sub fl oor extends in front of the fi replace. To ensure that the 
hearth does not interfere with the window frame  the fi replace must be raised to ensure that 
the  hearth extension is no more than 1" above the bottom of the fi replace.

The fi replace can be raised using combustible or non-combustible materials  ensuring that 
it  is fully supported along the full width and depth of the fi replace.

FINISH MATERIAL

This fi replace may be recessed up to a 

maximum depth of 6”, this recess must 

be constructed from non  combustible 

material. The space between the 

 outside lintels and the fi rebox must be 

completely free of any obstruction or 

debris and the window with trim fi tted 

must be able to move freely. No  building 

material is permitted to protrude past 

the lintel bars attached to the fi replace 

under ANY circumstance.
