INTRODUCTION
This guide provides the information necessary to install a door controller. It includes
mounting and cabling requirements and instructions to enable the device to be
commissioned.
The door controller communicates over TCP/IP and is fully ‘intelligent’, so that it continues
to operate normally when it is unable to communicate with the PC. The Ethernet cable
connection is only accessible when lid is removed.
All communications is initiated by the door controller, which ensures the level of traffic is
suitable for shared network systems and reduces network performance limitations.
Communications is in the form of simple message couplets, where each message from the
door controller waits for a response from the host.
