USEFUL INFORMATION

*To ensure longer service from your TOSHIBA washer, be sure to observe the following instructions.

a

Never turn the timer counterclockwise past the “OFF” gradation nor clockwise past the maximum setting time (wash

“15”, spin “5”) gradation.

a

Never wipe the plastic surface of the machine with abrasive powder, benzene or thinner, and also avoid spraying

insecticide near the machine.

a

Do not pour boiling water directly into the tub. Use water lower than 50°C.

a

Sometimes water in the pipes may freeze in winter, so completely drain off water. When water freezes, pour 5~10

liters of warm water (approx. 50°C) in the tub with the drain hose raised. When the drain valve knob starts to move,
set it to “DRAIN” and use the washer after ice melts.

a

Never install your washing machine near hot articles such as a stove, or plastic portions of the machine may burn.

a

Use your washing machine under the rated voltage and frequency.

a

Be sure to ground the grounding pin of the power cord.

a

Be sure to unplug the power cord when the machine is not in use. Avoid pulling the power cord. Please handle at the

plug.

a

Be sure not to touch the spin basket while rotating.

a

Be sure to attach the spin plate while operating the spin basket.

a

Avoid splashing water on the control panel.

a

Never allow children to look into the wash and spin tub. Do not place the stand or box near the washing machine.

Children may fall into the wash or spin tub and get injured or drowned.

a

Never operate washing machine by children and infi rm person. This washing machine is not intended for use by

persons (including chlidren) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowlegde unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the
washing machine safety.

a

Be sure to drain off water after washing to prevent children from being drowned in the wash tub.

a

Do not push the drain hose into the cabinet.

a

The opening must not be obstructed by carpeting when the washing machine is installed on a carpet fl oor.

a

If the supply cord is damaged, it must only be replaced by a repair shop appointed by the manufacturer, because

special purpose tools are required.

a

The old inlet hose should not be reused.
