1.7 DVD±R/±RW

Drive

This full size DVD±R/±RW drive module lets you record data to rewritable CD/DVDs as
well as run either 12 cm (4.72-inch) or 8 cm (3.15-inch) CD/DVD without using an adaptor.
It is a high-performance drive that reads DVDs at maximum 8-speed, CDs at maximum 24-
speed and writes DVD-R/RW at maximum 2-speed, DVD+R/+RW at maximum 2.4 -speed,
CD-R/-RW at maximum 10-speed

The DVD±R/±RW drive is shown in Figure 1-8. Specifications for the DVD ±R/±RW drive
are described in table 1-5.
