3.25  Modem Test Program 

To execute the Modem Test, select 

14

 

from the DIAGNOSTICS TEST MENU, press 

Enter

 

and follow the directions on the screen. The Modem Test contains three Subtests that test the 
modem functions Modem/LAN functions and IEEE1394 functions. 

Subtest 01 

MODEM 

This test contains the following tests. 

 

1) 

Scorpio Modem Initialize 

 

Detects the modem. 

 

2) 

Digital Loop back Test 

 

Initializes the DSP. 

Subtest 03 

LAN LOOP BACK 

This Subtest performs an external loop back test to check the cable connection the 
RJ-45 jack.  

NOTE

:  

You will need the LAN wraparound connector for this Subtest. 

Subtest 04 

IEEE1394 

This Subtest performs a controller internal loopback test to check the IEEE 1394 
interface.
