3.10.4 Defining the HDD accessing state green LED
Reflects the HDD activities.
3.10.5 Defining the FDD/CD-ROM accessing state green LED
Reflects the FDD or CD ROM activities.
3.10.6 Defining Lock LEDs (all green LEDs)
Caps lock LED Caps are locked on the keyboard.
Cursor lock LED Cursor is locked
Num lock LED Num Lock is on to use numbers on
the keypad.
3.10.7 Battery status report and control
Battery status
(a) There are four battery states for each battery pack: full, normal, low, critical
low.
(b) The detailed battery status will show on the system window.
(c) Battery Status:
Full: When the battery is full and the system is on AC power. KB-BIOS will
pulse charge the battery to prevent battery self-discharge.
Normal: When battery is at normal status. If the system is on AC power then
KB-BIOS will fast charge the battery pack until the battery is full. If the
system is running on battery power, then the battery will be discharged.
Low: When the system is not on AC power and battery is at low status. The
KB-BIOS will generate a beep sound every fifteen seconds. The system will
show the user setting on “Power Options Properties” panel. Ex: Standby,
Hibernate, Power off.
Critical low: System should hibernate (depends on user setting on “Power
Options Properties” Panel) when the battery capacity reaches a critical low
point. If active devices inhibit the system from processing Hibernate, the
system should postpone the process until all devices are no longer active.
If the battery is too low, KB-BIOS will trickle charge the battery until the battery
voltage is in normal status.
