Shooting a Night Scene or the Inside of a Room
(Long Exposure Mode)
By extending the shutter speed (the time the shutter remains open during
an exposure), you can photograph in lower light like a night scene or
capture the mood of an indoor scene with a special atmosphere. Long
shutter speeds of 8, 4, and 2 seconds can be selected.

To avoid camera shake, use of a tripod is recommended when using time
exposures.

Selecting the Focus Distance before Shooting
The camera is set by default to automatic focus (AF), but is can also be
used with manual focus (MF) if desired. When MF is selected, a
focusing scale is displayed on the screen; the user specifies the desired
focusing distance.
