Each time you press the button, the playback speed
changes.
During fast forward playback at “
” speed, sound is
reproduced.
(Not available on VIDEO CD and audio CD.)
• This function is not available when you play a title
recorded on a DVD-RAM disc while recording
another.
Notes
• The playback speed may vary depending on the disc.
• Noise may be heard during fast forward playback.
To resume normal playback
Press the PLAY button.
To skip the contents for a while
During playback, press the INSTANT SKIP button.
Each time you press the button, you can skip by the
specified time.
You can select the interval per press of the button. See
“Instant Skip Interval” of “Operational Settings”
(
page 128).
To skip by 1/20
During playback, press the / buttons.
Each time you press the button, you can skip by 1/20
of the current title or track if it is longer than 1 minute.
Time bar display
Fast-forward or fast-reverse playback automatically
displays a time bar.

To skip back momentarily
During playback, press the INSTANT REPLAY
button.
Each time you press the button, you can go back by
the specified time to resume playback.
You can select the interval per press of the button. See
“Instant Replay Interval” of “Operational Settings” (
page 128).
Notes
• Some discs may not permit this operation.
• Depending on disc structure, some operations may be
limited.
• Depending on playback status, some operations may not
work.
