Learning about the remote control
Only the buttons used for operating the TV are
described here.
Note:
The error message “NOT AVAILABLE”
may appear if you press a key for a function
that is not available.

POWER
turns the TV on and off. When the TV is
on, the green LED indicator on the TV front will be
illuminated.

PIC SIZE
cycles through the picture sizes:
Full
,
TheaterWide 1/ 2/ 3, 4:3, Native
,
Normal
, and
Dot by
Dot
(
pages 33-34).

PIC MODE
selects the picture mode (
pages 35-36).

INPUT
selects the video input source (
page 29).

SLEEP
accesses the sleep timer (
page 47).

FREEZE
freezes the picture. Press again to restore the
moving picture (
page 35).

Channel Numbers (0–9, –/100)
directly tune channels.
The
button is used to tune digital channels
(
page 32) or to edit the Favorites List (
page 30).

FAV BROWSER
accesses the Favorites List in the
Channel Browser
™
(
page 30).

RECALL
displays TV status information
(
page 49).

CH
ST
cycles through programmed channels when no
menu is on-screen (

C.CAPTION
accesses the closed caption
(
pages 36-37).

MUTE
reduces or turns off the sound (

VOL + –
adjusts the volume level.

INFO
displays TV status information as well as program
details, when available (

closes on-screen menus.

ENTER
activates highlighted items in the main menu
system.

returns to the last viewed channel or source

accesses the main TV menu system

HDMI connection (

STOP
Stops the tape or DVD.

PLAY
Begins playback of a tape or DVD.

SKIP
Skips forward to locate later DVD chapters.

FF
Fast-forwards the tape or DVD (Press during play
mode to view the picture moving rapidly forward).

EJECT
Eject the tape or DVD.
26
PAUSE
Press during play or record mode to pause the
picture; press again to restart.
27
SKIP
Skips back to beginning of current DVD
chapter, or locates previous chapters.
28
REW
Rewinds/reverses the tape or DVD (Press
during play mode to view the picture moving rapidly
backward).
