Learning about the remote control
The buttons used for operating the TV only are
described here. For a complete list of the remote
control’s functions, see the remote control functional
key chart (
page 24).
Note:
The error message “NOT AVAILABLE”
may appear if you press a key for a function
that is not available.

POWER
turns the TV on and off. When the TV is
on, the green LED indicator on the TV front will be
illuminated.

FREEZE
freezes the picture. Press again to restore the
moving picture (
page 42).

SLEEP
accesses the sleep timer (
page 56).

PIC SIZE
cycles through the picture sizes:
Natural

TheaterWide 1/2/3

Full
,
4:3 HD
,
Native
and
Dot by
Dot
(
page 39-41).

Channel Numbers (0–9, –/100)
directly tune channels.
The
button is used to tune digital channels (

39) or to edit the Favorites List (

selects the video input source (

cycles through programmed channels when no
menu is on-screen (

VOL + –
adjusts the volume level.

FAV BROWSER
accesses the Favorites List in the
Channel Brower™ (

RECALL
displays TV status information (
page 58).

CH RTN
returns to the last viewed channel or source
(
page 39).

MUTE
reduces or turns off the sound (
page 44).

INFO
displays TV status information as well as program
details, when available (

the Channel Browser™ and tune to the previous/next
channel in the channel history (

activates highlighted items in the main menu

MODE SELECT switch
switches between TV, CABLE/

“TV” to control the TV.
