Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the following difficulties while using the TV, check the list
below before consulting your dealer.
Interference
Note:
If interference occurs while you are
using a cable system, then the
problem could be at the cable
source and not from your TV recep-
tion.
Please note the following common causes of TV reception interference:
Ignition Noise
Black spots or vertical lines may appear. Screen jumps crazily or is very unstable.
This is commonly the result of car ignition noise interference, neon lights, or other
forms of electrical interference.
Ghost Shadows
This is the result of two signals: one being the original signal while the second sig-
nal is a slightly delayed signal, normally the result of bouncing off tall buildings or
other obstructions. This problem might be corrected by adjusting your outdoor
antenna direction.
Flurries
Lots of tiny dots appear on your screen. This is the result of poor reception signals.
You may have to boost your antenna signal.
Common Problems
You may have problems that can be fixed with a few minor adjustments. Look for
the type of phenomenon you are experiencing in the following lists and then apply
the suggestions to resolve the problem.
Picture with no sound
• Check if you have accidentally pressed the MUTE button.
• Check if the same problem exists on other channels. If the other channels can
be viewed correctly, then there is probably a fault in the TV program you are
viewing.
• Verify all connections are firmly attached.
• If the problem persists, contact your dealer.
Sound with no picture
• Check brightness and contrast levels to see if they have been tuned to the min-
imum level thus making the screen dark.
No Picture No Sound
• Check the main power source.
• Check if the same problem exists on other channels. If the other channels can
be viewed correctly, then there is probably a fault in the TV program you are
viewing.
• Press the TV/AV1/AV2 button on the Remote Control or TV/VIDEO on the
top of the unit to get to the desired display option.
• If you are using an outdoor antenna, please check your connections.
• Check if your power cord is connected properly; it may be loose.
• Disconnect cable. Reconnect cable.
• Ensure that the antenna and cable are properly connected to the TV.
• Ensure that the AC adapter and power cord are not damaged.
• Test the antenna or cable on another TV.
• If the problem persists, contact your dealer immediately.
