CAUTION!
Damage to the battery or other electrical loads from a short circuit.
Material damage can result.
■
When working on the batteries, always switch the system off at the main
switch.
■
De-energise the Power 48-5000 and do not connect a data cable.
■
When connecting the batteries, ensure that you first connect the red positive
cable followed by the black negative cable.
■
Note the tightening torques (positive terminal 17 Nm and negative terminal
30 Nm).
■
When disconnecting the batteries, ensure that you first disconnect the black
negative cable followed by the red positive cable.
■
Never transpose the polarities.
ADVICE
Do not lead the cables over sharp edges, and cover all open terminal caps.
All terminals that are not connected should be occupied using the plugs provided.
The traditional connection is made using pole pieces.
Cruise 10.0 connection
The Cruise 10.0 can be connected using cable lugs (Lugsulation).
Cruise 4.0 R/T connection
The Cruise 4.0 R/T is connected using cone contacts.
