Installing the Target Plate
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Target plate
Procedure
1. Prepare the cutting unit as described in the
cutting unit
Operator’s Manual .
2. Remove the center, grass-shield bolt ( Figure 3 ).
3. Install the target plate to the top of the cutting
unit with the bolt that you previously removed
(
Figure 3 ).

Preparing the Traction Unit
Optional—Cutting Unit Models
04251, 02452, 04253, or 04254
No Parts Required
Procedure
If you are installing cutting unit Models 04251, 02452,
04253, or 04254 on this traction unit, complete the
following steps:
1. Position the cutting unit on a flat, level surface.
2. On both pitch arms ( Figure 4 ), measure 2.3 mm
(0.09 inch) in on the tabs and grind down the
corner as shown in
Figure 5 .

3. Paint the revealed metal to prevent corrosion.
