1. Move the machine to a level surface, engage the parking
brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key from
the ignition.
2. Loosen the jam nut on the adjusting bolt on the end of
a bumper and lower the adjusting bolt as far as it can
go (
Figure 1 ).
3. Install the bumper to the machine frame using a large
bolt, washer, and nut from the bumper assembly; do
not tighten the fasteners (

4. Adjust the bumper so that it is parallel with the frame,
raise the adjustment bolt until it contacts the frame,
and secure it with the jam nut (
Figure 2 ).
